Digital literacy: better questions

While we're on the subject of a "connected education," educational blogger David Warlick makes note of a (professional development?) presentation by Julie Coiro at the Technology, Reading & Learning Diversity Conference earlier this month. Ms. Coiro works on New Literacies Research at the University of Connecticut.

In response to an audience question she cites the skills necessary for digital literacy, which include - in the order listed by Mr. Warlick - the ability to ask good questions and to locate, evaluate, synthesize and communicate information.

What's old is new again.
