MacArthur backs digital pioneers

Director of MIT's Comparative Media Studies program and author of Convergence Culture, Henry Jenkins discusses a digital media and learning competition recently announced by the MacArthur Foundation. The foundation will commit $50 million over the next five years to better understand the way youth learn, play socialize and work in civic life.

Two awards, Innovation and Knowledge Networking, will be given. The entry deadline is October 15.
