New twist on museum experience

Could museums become places for a little bit of personal experimentation, not simply observation?

Being challenged a bit by Ethan Zuckerman's recent post on homophily, I was delighted to see this entry from Nina at Museum 2.0. She describes how museum goers might take an active role - with some built-in safeguards suggested by her - when experiencing uncomfortable or challenging material or situations.

Museum 2.0 is a blog devoted to the ways web philosophies might be applied to museum design. Check it out.

People looking at Van goug and Picasa ought to see somethings different from the way i see or perceive them. A collection of these experiences can be very educational as well as entertaining.

Thanks for sharing the link, Museum 2.0 is indeed as very noble effort in the direction.
