On the transferability of human consciousness, from a biological host - you and me - to a synthetic one, David Chalmers gets to the point at the Singularity Summit: "We don't have a clue how a computational device might be conscious. We also don't have a clue as to how the brain can be conscious."
In this ten-minute video, Chalmers describes the state of consciousness studies, and includes a cogent description of the differences between the soft and hard problems consciousness that goes to the issue of "transferability".
